The official annoucement did indeed happen last week at the Rational Software Development Conferece – RSDC – 2008. The product engineering team gave quite a few demos, and there was an after hours lab where we were able to get our hands on the tool (and have a few drinks as well).
For those that couldn’t make the lab, but still want to get the tool, here’s the URL to get the beta.

Bits are released on June 25th, but you can pre-register now and will get notified via e-mail when the download is ready.
Hey Brain,
Once the Beta for RQM arrives, what’s the best way to feedback comments, ideas for feature / changes, etc?
Sorry Brian, whilst I’m sure being called “Brain” is quite flattering I imagine you’d probably prefer Brian
Brain / Brian – it all works.
Once the beta goes live there will be a developerWorks forum that you can access from the beta page:
https://www14.software.ibm.com/iwm/web/cc/earlyprograms/rational/QMOpen/
This forum will be monitored by engineers to capture feedback and respond to any questions that might arise from using the tool.
